A man in a white shirt, tie, blue pants, and white shoes is juggling a red stick on a waterfront promenade with a city skyline and bridge in the background on a sunny day.

Nicholas Urbanic

Percussionist

My primary studies are in orchestral percussion and drum set. I consider myself a lyrical percussionist and find that has been attributed to my skills in piano and voice. Through my time at NYU, I worked with Jonathan Haas on timpani, James Saporito on Snare Drum & Xylophone, and Josh Samuels on my drum set playing. I have worked with Josh Ryan at Baldwin Wallace to develop my skills in Afro-Cuban music. Below you can find some videos of orchestral excerpts and a piece from my graduate recital.
